Properties Tax on New Self Builds

    Hi,
    With the governments introduction of property tax in the recent budget I am wondering if you have begun building a house in 2012 if you are subject to the property tax. First time buyers in 2013 are exempt for the first 3 year. The house I am building will not be complete until 2013.

    Yes, I am a first time buyer. But the house begun construction in 2012 to be completed in 2013.
