Just wondering if I need to give my local branch some notification if I'm making a withdrawal of around €4000?

Probably best to do so....you shouldnt need to though, especially if the withdrawal is by cheque/draft

    Hi kensutz,

    Thanks for getting in touch.

Unless you are withdrawing from a deposit account that requires notice, there would be no need to inform the branch in advance. We only require notice for cash withdrawals in excess of €5000. We would recommend that you bring photo ID with you on the day.

If we can help with anything else, please feel free to ask.

    Thanks,
    Tara
