Just pm'd you. I can supply colostrum in buckets up to 120 feeds. Also do a colostrum paste for lambs which may be of interest. 4mls per lamb from a syringe.

we use volostrum by volac. find it good stuff to get a weak lamb going by tube. remember being told that you need a high protein powder with high fat for it to work well. stocked in all outlets that sell milk powder for calves around here.

Use volostrum too if stuck, best if you can get some off a milky single and freeze it, but be sure to label the freezer bag =D thawed some out one night thinking it was chicken stock

Could you use cows colostrum? My vet said that those artificial colostrum are useless.

i doubt they are much of a replacement in fairness but i find them great to get a weak calf going, usually suck themselves afterwards..dont know about lambs now

your vet is wrong have proved so on many occasions , you could use cow's in an emergency

best approach is to build up a store of ewe colostrum , from ewes with singles etc store in small plastic containers in the freezer (ice cubes bags are ideal)

no doubting that but the vet that stated that artificial is useless is talking crap

I run an easy care system and with my numbers I find it easier to feed a lamb with supplement and get a nights sleep
