    have a few pinholes in the radiator,,used rad weld ,,has slowed it down a good bit but still dropping

    dont know whether to buy another bottle and give it half a bottle

    put the rad weld in to the tank in 3 amounts(shook bottle),with the second being the most but something came up after i put it in and the van was parked up for a few days after getting a smaller drive than i had planned

    wud the stuff of settled at the bottom of the tank.

    seen on here bout this Novastop stuff,,,,where can i get it and how would it mix with the other rad weld

    cheers

    That stuff is only a temp. job, your best bet is to get it repaired proffesionatly, or replace it with a good used one.

    You could try Novastop. Mind, none of these fluids will work of the holes are too big or replacement with a working rad.

    Don't put in another bottle, you might gum up the cooling system.

    Source out a radiator, 2nd hand or new. I had the option of another £8 for radweld or £30 for a like new radiator....

    Picked the radweld didn't I :pac::pac::pac:

    Replace the radiator, those quick fixes plug up the narrow tubes and heater core very quickly, can also clog parts of the radiator aswel.

    cheers lads ,,,im gonna pick up another radiator,,second hand if i can get one in good nick.i just had her at the cousin there as he had called in and i showed him the craic with the spots of coolant,,,they are mainly at the front on the lower part where is more open and he said that stones from another viechle can do this,,,find this hard to believe that a stone could rupture a radiator

    when i get new one in he advised me to put mesh there at the open bit,,,the top bit is meshed but not the bottom for sum reason

    Yea a stone flying at 40mph will badly dent the radiator and if that happens repeatedly you will get leaks and cracks. As you're cousin said, stick a bit of mesh in front of it on the bumper. There would of been mesh there before. Check out prices of new radiator aswel, mikes garage.ie can be good.

    Check eBay. You might find one reasonably priced. Save you the hassle of travelling for one.
