Any Atheists in AH? What do ye do for christmas? Do you celebrate it or treat it like any other day of the year?

It's just that I knew an atheist briefly and an atheist is what he told me he was and he was in the paper last week in an article about that went on about christmas gifts and shopping and he was interviewed something like - what is xmas shopping like for you? Do you leave till late? and things like that.

I thought atheists don't celebrate xmas and he does this xmas shop and gift exchange. I'm confused.

As an atheist Christmas is my favourite Pagan festival.

Since when did this forum become the Atheism and Agnosticism forum?

Yup I celebrate it. I think its important to have at least one day in the year where you do nothing but treat your family and forget about everything else.

Winter Solstice has been celebrated since waaaay before the christians stole it for their christmas.
Trees were put up, parties were had and gifts given.
Read up on it to remove the confusion.

I am and I celebrate it. As in getting loved ones presents and eating turkey.
Not any going to mass or praying or anything. I just call it Christmas because what else should I call it?

I don't go to mass if that's what you mean?

Tell me which verse in the bible it says philologos must respond to every religious or atheist thread.

Celebrate, drink, spoil myself and those around me. Not a thought for religion in my head. So xmas for me is pretty much the same as most of the so-called Catholics.

I celebrate this time of year as a time to be with family, no religious tie ins or anything, just family and having a good time, 'cause that's what it's all about.

I don't give a sh1t what anyone else does. Why does it fcuking matter. Get on with living your own life and let everyone else look after themselves.

Celebrating AT Christmas and celebrating Christmas are two massively different things. I think you will find atheists are doing the former.

I'm an atheist but I'll happily whore myself to anyone who'll give me time off work.

Around the same time it became a place for you to turn every thread into an Evangelical exercise room, as is your wont. Comical that when you go all evangelical in After Hours this is ok. If someone brings up an atheist theme however you start to moan.

As said above, Atheist & Agnosticism forum is the place for this.
