Kuompounophobia...the fear of buttons

Hey new around here so if it's been done before I apolagise.

Kuompounophobia...the fear of buttons anyone else suffer from this strange almost embarrassing phobia? Personally I've had it as far back as I remember. I always thought I was the only one until I googled it. For me it's usually only plastic buttons, I just hate them and get this cringy gross feeling if I have to touch them.
It's ok on shirts these days but as a kid I hated the ones on school shirts, now I can generally get passed the ones on most normal shirts but it depends some buttons just really freak me out!!
When I see buttons used as fashion or just randomly there without a purpose it makes me feel gross, I wouldn't say they make me want to puke but sometimes even an ever so slight gag reflex.
I remember as a kid maybe 5 or 6 playing with a container my grandmother used to have containing buttons and even then being grossed out by them. Maybe I nearly chocked on one but I've no recollections of this and I really cant imagine me ever putting one in my mouth because to touch them back then used to make my skin crawl.
So anyone else this phobia?? I read it's not as uncommon as one would think apparently so just wondering if anyone here is the same and lets be honest it's a pretty hilarious irrational fear but they just gross me out so that's that.

Never heard of that one. Sorry that you have such an usual phobia. I'd say that you did nearly choke on one when you where younger.

I have heard of this phobia before, no one close to me though so I'm afraid I cannot assist with how to deal with it.

Hopefully there might be others on here who may have that phobia or experience with it.

Ahh don't be feeling sorry for me, it's not to bad. Got to the stage long ago I just needed to tell myself to kop on and deal with it. I'd still wear them if they wear on something necessary, I just still find them slightly repulsive...

I wasn't and am not really looking for any help with it as it doesn't really effect my day to day life. I was just wondering if anyone else on here is the same, I actually find it quiet amusing when I think about it!!

Don't think I have the phobia but do purposely avoid clothes with buttons on as I don't like them, I would get a slightly odd feeling if I were to brush off a button on someone's coat or something, no nausea or gagging, just a slight sense of disquiet

Yea thats what it's more like now, I've grown out of it slightly I suppose. Gagging may have been a slight exaggeration but I couldn't think of a way to describe it really suppose more of a cringe and discomfort.
