    i found this place
    http://www.caraudioni.com

seems to be no topic or reviews about the place here so i guess i will let you all know how they are,
    it seems pretty cheap and
it says they have 3 warehouses
    Ireland, N.Ireland & UK
im guessing delivery should be pretty fast,

has anyone used them yet ?

*Edit think i should have posted it in "DIY Car Maintenance, Repair and Detailing" (sorry)

That's a fairly enthusiastic post from someone who claims to know nothing about the company!

To be fair I was enthusiastic about them too - before I used them.

Edit - for balance I should mention that a friend of mine had a good experience with them when they had their retail shop in Aughnacloy. But the awfulness of my experience far outweighs his good experience.

i have high expectations,if the warehouse is close, Delivery should be fast
The part i need halfords don't have, they gave me a shop to try and they wanted to sell me the part for 30 euro, i just ordered the exact piece for €13.50c, if this goes well, it may be my new shop, they have a nice set of seat covers to.
Their Facebook page don't seem great, they asked me a question,i answered, and they never bothered messaging me back,

@Dilbert75 what was it they did to make your experience so bad ?

That's along the lines of my experience. Multiplied by about 4 months.

I'm on my phone so don't have all the exact details. Broadly they are as follows:
-ordered steering wheel adaptor in April
-prompted them after a couple of weeks and they sent it out to me
-tried to fit it and found it didn't work
-asked for help and was told I prob hadn't fitted it properly
-refitted it numerous times with no success
    -requested replacement
-was told manufacturer was sending one out
    -waited and waited
    -sent further mails requesting update
-eventually got call to ask me to call following day at particular time. Did so but no answer or call back
-ended up mailing manufacturer who knew nothing about the problem. They sent me a replacement which worked first time
-turns out car audio ni sent me a Punto adaptor for an Alfa

This all took about 4 months to resolve.

I allways liked halfords online price offers, when i was buying adapter for my avensis, in halfords, it cost 25 euro, but when ordered online, it cost ebay price delivered - 6 euro.. why order, and wait, when you may order online , and collect stright away.

there is your connector - http://www.halfords.ie/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_11101_catalogId_15551_productId_180500_langId_-1_categoryId_212460

    all for 3 euro. ;)

@Dilbert75, That is an experience i wouldn't like to deal with, 4 months is a joke,i hope they dont send me the wrong one, they sent me a message on facebook last night and said they will send it out in the morning (this morning) so i logged onto the site just now, and it still says processing :( this isn't good, guess i wont have it before christmas, just after you told me about Car Express i seen they had it too, for around the same price,

@Mar4ix Yep i know they have it, but i have said a few times in my posts above halfords don't have it in stock, they only have it in Waterford, im way down in cork, so its no use to me :( i went in and rang halfords for 3 days now, they told me ring back yesterday because they had a delivery in, but after they checked, they had none in stock, he didn't know why they hadnt any ordered for restock, i was disgusted because 3 euro is very very cheap :P they had radios last month for 20 euro reduced from around 150 (online deals) always need to keep an eye out hehe, thanks anyway :)

yea, i some times forgotten that there is people living outside Dublin also :P

well in your case it is indeed difficult situation, but I would use http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=PC2-33-4+&_sacat=0&_from=R40 ebay stuff, at least youd be covered, if there is problems ... would get money back via paypal. ;)

Thats very true, i do like to use ebay, but the site im buying the leads off have some nice things on it that i kinda want :/, so at least if they robbed me with the lead its only a couple of euro, its more or less a test, if the service was good i would buy from them again, but that seems to be looking slight, damn this car is costing me a fortune :P

i will wait until next Tuesday, if nothing i guess i will have to give out.
was hoping the site was a good one, looks like i will be staying away from them

    Sounds very familiar.

If we look into that, seriously .... like if you are seller, received order (say 4pm) first day, which is paid, what is your action ?? ok, next day confirm received payment ... will take no more 1 hour, put sticker with buyers address and stamp on package. You must have at least once a day go to post office send out ordered bits. id say every day... after 16:00(second day). Ok, in post it'll hang there till next parcel collection .... lets say 12 noon(third day).

I found, in Ireland AnPost is very efficient, usually, if i order from somebody in Cork(2 kg package - photo printer) , and it is posted in morning, next day lunch time, i am getting my item delivered to my door step. Christmas is not an issue, as I think AnPost working in forced mode. My sister sent Christmas card afternoon from Letterkeny, next morning i received.

Ok, let say two days is more than enough for package cross country, till your door step. Together it is 5 days for most pessimistic counts. ( I actually would expect in 3rd day max, then would start to worry... call them and asking questions).

How many days already passed ?? 7 days already. !!!!! and no sign of it

I would not say, there is problem with post company, problem with senders, careless attitude, maybe not in stock, getting sourced from NI or UK, and then (maybe) proceed postage to you.

Thanks that you mention this online shop, good to know from which to keep away.

I have ordered car parts in number online shops, most efficient I found is micksgarage, ok, it is bit dear on some bits, most of the time getting delivery next day, after order, if ordered in morning time.

Btw, I think I may have forgotten to mention that they took payment from my cc on the day of order but it was nearly 4 months before I got my delivery. Just as well it wasn't big money.

To be fair they've had probably 4 working days since you ordered and, all going well, you should have it on the 5th working day, which is not bad in my book. If you get what you ordered you'll be fine. I just wish my experience of them was that good.

    Ok last update,

The item came this morning (the correct item)
considering it came 5 days after it was shipped is pretty good,
    (came from England)
package has WheelsNBits on it, so that is one of the other stores,

since i got the item at some stage, im happy, that's the main thing, 5 days after it been posted, me ordering on the 19th was close to Christmas, so that might have been why it took so long to process,

    Ordered 19th DEC,

    Shipped 28th DEC,

    Received 2nd of JAN,

    Prices seem fair, 6/10
    Support wasn't great 3/10
Delivery time (from posted) was good 6/10

at least you will get your item if you use them,
if they have something in stock that you need and cant seem to find it somewhere else then you might as well use them,

in the end the item came and that's what counts, i will use them again, just to see if it was because of Christmas was why it took so long to process,
They take your money right away, they don't process then take the money, they just take it and you have to wait.

at long last my new radio works, i scratched a small bit of the screen while putting it in, that upset me a bit, but it works,so im happy :)

    scratch :'(
*should have cleaned it first haha
