CDWowWow HD a complete disaster don't use them

I ordered Far Cry 3 from cdwow.ie which are now called ie.wowhd.com which is where it redirects to.
Its the same website with crappier service.
So anyway I ordered Far Cry 3 for pc on the 4th of December and they emailed me on the 5th of December to say my order had been dispatched.
Its now the 19th of December and theres no sign of the game coming.
I emailed them to ask them what was going on yesterday and they ignored me.
I likely won't have the game for christmas now and they don't give a damn because they have my money.
They've ruined my christmas.
I'll never use them again.

Not used cdwow since around 2002 and even then the delivery's where never great, have you tried calling them?

if you get your money refunded you can still order from the likes of Amazon and still get it in time (just about)

That's been about 10 working days since you received the dispatch notice. Based on my past experience with CD WOW, that's about the timeframe it takes to receive shipments from them.

Used to use CD WOW until it took nearly 3 months to dispatch a Christmas present about 4 years ago, never gone back to them since as it was a bloody disaster and not one hint of an apology.

I ordered 2 games as well and both were dispatched on Friday 7th December. Nothing has arrived yet.

WowHD says here that if you place any orders on or before the 10th of December(which I did), then it should arrive before Christmas.

Hopefully the stuff arrives before Friday

Same here - ordered several CDs on 5th of December and got an email the next day to say that they were dispatched, but haven't got them yet! Thankfully they are for adults and I have other gifts to give. Woeful!

Do they not ship from Hong Kong? Could be the reason for long delivery times, plus you dont pay any delivery charge if my memory serves me correct?

a cd was dispatched on d 3rd it still hasn't arrived I ordered this on the 1st. I ordered one a week later and I have received the other day with a broken case.. So I emailed them about the case and missing cd and I got the following reply

'despatched on December 3rd, I have checked with our carrier and have been informed that we can only log investigation after 21 days from the original shipment date. Should your item not arrive after 21 days of the original shipment date please notify us by return email.

I can totally understand you concern about it since Xmas is coming, As the Announcement suggested, To help ensure delivery in time for Christmas, we recommend United Kingdom customers place orders for in-stock items before December 5, We cannot guarantee that the products will be delivered before Christmas but we will authorize you to return it for a refund if it arrives'

Games are dispatched from Hong Kong, I had to wait for my fallout 3 for PC for 3 and a half weeks! Cheap prices are not always the best.... Play.com dispatched my Far Cry 3 on Friday, Got it on monday, they're the best IMO.

Well it doesn't say that its going to take 3 and a half weeks on their site.
Anyway I started a Paypal dispute with them and if they don't reply to that in the required time I'll be escalating it to a claim.
If it arrives tomorrow it would be great but I've got a bad feeling it won't be arriving in time for christmas.
If I don't get it soon I won't be letting them get away it.
Thats for sure.

Wouldn't buy anything off them in a fit. Disaster company.

I ordered 4 CDs as part if kids gifts on the same day the 4th dec, dispatched the 5th and not 1 of them have arrived, :mad:

I got the game today anyway and they did reply the day after I put up the Paypal dispute so they're not that bad.
It came from Kowloon in Hong Kong so that's why it took so long.
Its the UK version same as you get over here but about 14 euros cheaper.
Anyway I've got it now and I'm happy and I hope all you guys get your things in time.

Just to give an update on what they are like after Christmas - Ordered a few items after Christmas as prices were lowest around & got them in 8-9 days. So the delay was due to Christmas & the whole world trying to put the likes of HMV out of business!
