Toy for a mad lad

Ok, this one is even tougher then a gift for the wife.

Can anyone recommend a toy for a 3 year old boy – that’s indestructible. The Toy that is, not the kid. I’m quite sure he’s not indestructible, even though he tries to prove otherwise. The budget is about 30 euros. The only thing I can think of is a large heavy canon ball, but it probably wouldn't be much fun to play with, although it would be almost indestructible, but I don’t know where to get one anyway.

The key word here is indestructible, oh, and fun.

The first thing that springs to mind is:

Other than that, a wooden train set. They are pretty solid.

A wooden train, yet, but also highly projectile, and would be lost and never seen on one piece in about 3 minutes. Good idea though.
