The 12/24 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw was taped tonight following the Super Smackdown Live special.

-Santa is announced as the guest host of Raw, and he makes his way out. Alberto del Rio makes his entrance at the same time, but accidentally runs over Santa with his car! Del Rio looks horrified, and leaves.

    (1) Kane def. Cody Rhodes. Short match that saw Kane win with a chokeslam.

    (2) Alicia Fox, Kaitlyn, Layla & Natalya def. Eve, Tamina, Aksana & Rosa. All the Divas got involved in this match, with Kaitlyn gaining the pin over the Champion, Eve.

    (3) Sheamus def. Big Show in a Lumberjack match. The Lumberjacks brawled on the outside of the ring, while Sheamus ducked a KO Punch and hit the Brogue Kick for the win.

    (4) The Miz & Kofi Kingston def. Wade Barrett & Antonio Cesaro. Kofi got Trouble in Paradise, followed by a Skull Crushing Finale from Miz to go over Barrett.

    (5) Daniel Bryan def. Damien Sandow in what was said to be a pretty solid TV match.

    (6) The Usos, Brodus Clay, Tyson Kidd, Justin Gabriel & Santino def. Prime Time Players, 3MB & Tensai

    (7) The Great Khali def. Brad Maddox

-CM Punk cut a promo on the live crowd similar to his rant on Smackdown. Ryback came out to interrupt him, and announced that their match in two weeks is officially a TLC match for the WWE Championship.

    (8) John Cena def. Alberto del Rio in a Miracle on 34th Street Fight. Mick Foley got involved as Santa, and there were Christmas trees and presents set up all over the place.

So in two weeks, we get a FREE Tables, Ladders and Chairs match on Raw!!!!

Ric Flair this week followed by Foley the next week, Vince must be trolling me at this stage.
Wasn't Del Rio a face or did he pull a big show turning again quicky.

Aye, face this week and back to been a heel already, didn't have much hope for his face turn but at least it would have been different.

Oh well Ryder and Gabriel squash matches ahoy!

He hit Santa with his car! Brilliant, does Kane know Del Rio beat up Santa first?

Very much a holiday episode. Face means win, heel means loss

I'd say wait till the show airs before making judgement. Based on the fact it said he was horrified at his mistake, I'd say he's still face. I'm guessing they'll maintain his face status with some promos, and we could see some cheesy ending that isn't fully described here...

Pwinsider said that afterwards Del Rio helped hand out Christmas presents, so still face imo

You know I thought the Santa bit was slightly funny but Booker T segment was awfully childish and crap.

Twas obvious it was Mick when the bald emt nearly collapsed trying to lift him onto the stretcher.
Is it cruel to criticise this or am I meant to remain festive?

One of the worst Raw episodes of the year. WWE missed an opportunity if you consider that Monday Night Football was played on Saturday (special Saturday edition). The only storylines covered were Ryback and CM Punk's upcoming match (becoming a TLC match) and Cody Rhodes wanting to get one over on Kane for injuring him last month.

The only two good matches were Kane vs Cody Rhodes and the Divas' match.

I don't think I've laughed so hard at RAW as I did in the first 15 minutes.

Between Santa getting hit with the car, Del Rio quite rightly saying "You all know where I drive my cars! Technically its his fault", Cena's "Saint Nicholas was a Saint!" and then everyone telling him to do it for Santa.

I lost it when they cut back and the area was surrounded with police tape.

How they all managed to keep a straight face is beyond me.

Did you get your threads mixed up there or something, Randy? I am interested in this draft thing. Anyway, I felt lucky that Raw wasn't a recap of the year. I am sure that's next week probably.

I thought the angle of running over Santa was HILARIOUS (although that's a heel thing for Del Rio to be involved with - they possibly just ran out of heels to face Cena) it dragged on for two ice ages. This show would've been just fine as an hour, but the material was super stretched. I get it, Big Show and Shambo had a great match once on PPV. They haven't since. GO AWAY. Very happy to see Bryan vs Sandow but it wasn't a patch on the match they could have. So it was somewhat disappointing. Punk's promo was very good as always, Ryback's promo was odd, as was his music cue when he was chanting TLC. The amount of fake crowd noise in this show was RIDICULOUS. Like one of the worst, most obvious show-long fake crowds I can remember. Glaringly bad. At least the show wasn't Pro-Americana!

Overall, a horrible show. Loved doing the Santa angle but this update crap and taking ten minutes to leave at the start - get out.

Bah, humbug! :) Shame since last week's Slammys was great.

Yup, it would appear that my mental capacity was diminished due to far too much food. On Raw, my recording clashed with something else so it didn't record. So the world was doing me a favour it would seem.

The definition of a holding episode of RAW. Pure filler.

No, it was the greatest episode of Monday Night Raw this year. You should watch.

If you want to see mick Foley jumping across a car going 2km/r, pretending to be injured, pretending to be santa claus watch. I like wrestling when its somewhat believable but that just took the piss. So Bad! Cringeworthy!

Scanned this after, liked the AJ/DZ vids, Team Hell No backstage swapping xmas gifts and Ricardo's complete inability to speak when introducing Del Rio. Santa's musical heart monitor was fun as well.

NO need for a 3 hour show at the best of times but defo not this week.

Just watched it (in less than an hour!) and thought it was good fun! :p
