Mortal Kombat 1 Jamma & Sound Board

Hey guys. Picked up an MK1 PCB and sound board.

It was missing one of the two interconnects between both boards. I have the ribbon cable so the other one.

I located the schematic on the net and soldered directly to the underside of both boards, as per the schematic to mirror the missing cable.

In the service menu sound diagnostics I get an irq functional message do that suggests all is ok.
However audio is just a loud constant hum and I can just about make out the odd sound effect over the hum.

Bit of a long shot but does anyone here have mk1?
Perhaps they could give me a shout and organise a swapping of boards and cables etc to help me pinpoint the fault.

Or if anyone is familiar with this issue and can inform me even better.

    Thanks

That would be great purplec. I've tried soldering some wires myself but to no avail. My wiring looks ok and passes test but something obviously awry

Some photos would be great as a start.

I'll be on j+ or AO either if you're frequenting there more often than here

    Thanks man.
