Belfast sink & plumbing

    Hi ,
getting a bit worried about the steps to fitting taps behind a belfast sink.
Granite fitter company said they will put the sink in place and silicone the top edges where it meets the granite making it immovable. they said the taps & waste are then plumbed.
the waste I can deal with but the back nut for taps will be practically impossible to reach let alone tighten.

Am I missing a step here ? what is the norm . I might not be around when granite is being fitted so can't install tap into granite worktop before it is fitted into place.is there an extra long box spanner ?

Should I tell them not to put sink in position ?

What is procedure if I need to change taps at a few years down the road ?
If the bottom of the sink is siliconed it will be a bo***cks to get out in the future?

    All tips /advice appreciated .

There is normally 3 or 4 inch of worktop at the rear of the sink, plenty to get up behind and plumb it.

I use ratchet to tighten taps down, you can do it in tiny spaces

Theres a small box spanner you can get that makes the job less painful. I got my set of 2spanners, 4different sizes in Mc Quillans

I bought one of these a few days ago to tighten a tap in an awkward space:
