    Hey folks

Im in Roscrea, would I need an outdoor aerial for saorview or could I get away with indoor?

    Im hoping indoor

According to the saorview site, the transmitter I should be using is the MAGHERA one but looking at the map, Kilduff is closer to Roscrea

    Any thoughts?

Invest a few euro on an indoor aerial and try it out. If it doesn't work within the house try it in the attic. That way you'll know for sure.

Would any typical indoor aerial do?

    yes

try it out first during good weather to get a good position
then try it during a rainy day to make sure it still works then

your box/tv should have some sort of qualit/signal indicator

other option is to ask the neighbours what they are using

an external antenna is always preferred
