    one positive would possibly to get the spirit or daemon that you raised to help you in some way.
    Or do you mean what would be positive for the spirit,in that case ,it is believed that if you summon a spirit you have made a packed with the devil so you would probably loose your sole to the spirit for there help
    thats my understanding i could be way wrong

    ive never actually heard of or met anyone who would claim to have done that. Are there people who reckon they can raise spirits (other than a barman)?

    Yes, there are. Some people who post on boards would have such interests, but they may not feel like replying here.
