    Hey folks,

With 2013 around the corner, what are you hoping to see in web design 2013?

More of something, less of something else?

    Any predictions on new trends?

Hoping to see something/learn something new in the new year?

For me, 2012 was all about responsive design, html5 hype, retro style, single page sites, fixed navs, forked ribbons and other stuff I can't remember :pac:

What I want to see more/less of:

    - I'm hoping to see a standardised solution to adaptive images
    - more responsive goodness
    - less single page websites (Sorry but I just haven't really come across any that are particularly good)
    - less marketing jargon in website copy (and more genuine copy!)
    - Less stitching
    - More simple, usable deisgn.
    - The death of anything pre-IE9 (XP will go too hopefully).
    - The dominance of Firefox and Chrome browser-share.
    - A greater appreciation for good design.

    What I expect:

    - More oversized headings, full width images/sliders.
    - Growth in the use of textures.
    - More (and hopefully better!) single page websites.
    - Continuation of simpler design.
    - Greater importance of usability.
    - More retro/vintage-design.
    - More letterpress.
    - Animated gifs and blinking text (just kidding...I hope!)
    - New trends (bit obvious that one.)

Also hoping to see more workshops around Dublin :) & looking forward to learning some Ruby.

I'm with you on single page sites, not a fan at all.

I'm interested in learning what else CSS3 has to offer. Lots of people doing very creative stuff with it at the minute.
