From experience of the plasma, it causes distortion on light gauge plate.

If you know anyone into the seemless guttering business
Ask them for a strip of the white faced aluminium off roll
Ya get 5 signs out of every meter= 300x200
You can cut it with a stanley knife

I got hold of 8 x 4 sheets of old advertising metal type sheeting I then cut them into the right size and spent a couple of hours durning the year with a stencil of each letter writing the signs I have them all over the Gun Club Land and also the paper type which are laminated all it cost was the paint and some effort.
