    Hey

I have an assignment due 2 week froms now. It's a reading module which means we are given a list of books to write a review on. The book which I have read is now gone from the library and won't be returned until the 3rd, when it re opens . I'm not sure what to do. Google books only gives a preview of the book and easons doesn't have it. I don't really want to read another book.

    What should I do?

Easons doesn't have it so you're all out of ideas? Try another book shop or see if you can buy it online. If you post the name of the book someone on here might know where you can find a copy.
Alternatively, assuming you have friends in other universities ask some of them to check their libraries to see if they have the book you need and then maybe they could check it out for you. Or ask in your local library.

I'm not sure if buying it online is an option. How am I supposed to get it in the post at christmas of all times?

Ordered stuff today from amazon that will be delivered by The weekend. Also try the book depository and the uni bookshop, plus the shops of other unis. Where there's a will there's a way. Somebody somewhere has to have it. What faculty is it?

Also, try typing "*title of book* pdf" into google. I've found a load of books that way.

Check JSTOR for book reviews. Might be lucky. Maybe your subject area has a couple of journals that are only book reviews.

Also, if you can find it in a book shop, just read the introduction and conclusion while standing there, and the first paragraph of each chapter. Scan through real fast. Done.

But I think if you request it early through the library site it means they've to return it a week early or something. Doesn't mean they will...

I can see why you don't want to buy it at 50 quid. Another library might be your best bet

I don't think so. How did you find it? I spent the last half hour looking for it on ebrary.
