Citywest Business Campus - Transport question

    Hi all,

    I have had a job offer for a position at a company in Citywest Campus. I'm not from Dublin, but have been living here near a year. I've been working in Eastpoint, so I just know my way around the city centre and such.

    I need to find out the most effective means of transport to Citywest, if anyone can answer any/all of my questions I would be very grateful;

    I'm aware there is a shuttle bus that goes to Citywest from IFSC/Connolly? Does anyone know if it is a direct shuttle bus with no stops along the way? Is there anywhere I can find out further information on the times of departure? duration of journey?
    I am currently living close to the Smithfield Luas stop, as far as I can tell there is a stop not too far from the Citywest campus on the red line. Does anyone know how long it might take to reach this stop? Would I be better off with a leap card or a 30 day luas card? Is the Luas stop within walking distance of the campus or is there a shuttle bus from the stop to campus?

    Thanks in advance for any help!

    Depending on where you are in the campus you could walk, there is a shuttle bus which runs from the stop in the campus.

    Here are the journey times on the Luas

    You'll have to work out the costs of using the Leap twice a day, which is now capped at a bit over €6, and the monthly ticket.

    In your position (close to LUAS Red Line) the LUAS is certainly the method I would use.

    There are also Dublin Bus services 65B, 69 and 77A, but journey times are lengthy on those as you are treated to tours of the vast housing estates of the southwestern fringe.

    The buses do bring you marginally closer than the LUAS though.

    ~13km, so only 40 mins or so on the bike each way.

    30 day Bus Rambler is probably the cheapest way..
