Printer no colour!

    Recently got new colour cartridge for printer but the printer will only print in black and pink. What is wrong? Help appreciated

    Get a piece of kichen towel, remove the colour ink and dab the print head (bottom of cartridge where ink comes out) onto the kitchen towel, when ink starts appearing try the cartridge again and see if it helps

    thanks, ink is flowing fine but its still black and pink.

    was the printer left idle for long before you changed the cartridges. The Nozzles could be clogged. All HP Deskjets have some sort of cleaning feature in the options, have you tried them.

    Can you trigger a test page print?

    What system you're using? Linux/windows?

    It's a multifunction device - does copying in colour work OK? I mean copying without use of your PC.
