I was just wondering if there are any walking/trekking groups that meet regularly within the city?

Hello, I've just moved to Limerick from Glasgow (originally Australia) and am looking to get fit and meet new friends - this sounds like a great idea, however I've no idea where to start to look...

Might give this a go once the weather picks up.

I keep saying I must join the group above - anyone know what it's like? Does it cater for all levels of fitness?

We joined them recently and so far it's been great, really well organised and friendly people. They usually have two different walks: one for beginners/ moderate and the advance one, although not every weekend both walks are available

Highly recommended!!! Hope to see you next weekend ;)

I am setting up a walking group starting on 19 June 2016

It is every sunday morning on the hour from Arthur's Quay Park - where the coaches stop.

On the hour every hour from 6am to Midday.

To check the group is currently active or for specific other questions go to

facebook and look for limerick slow walk group

note there is no charge for the walk
and please arrive 15 mins before the hour to sign the exercise disclaimer! (you do this once only)
