Have long hair just past down my shoulder blades and am applying for a job in Merck Sharpe and Dome and well i dont want to cut it but want to make sure that is kept tied up in a way that wont affect my work. any suggestions on any methods of keeping it tied up out of sight yet still intact.
Do many people working in laboratories have long hair as i hope it wouldnt affect my chances of getting a job
Im a guy so anything that wouldnt look too girly would be appreciated.

Just tie it back. If working in a lab I assume you would need to wear a hair net or something regardless of the length of your hair. You might also want to tie it back for the interview.

I don't have long hair but as someone who has worked in a lab, you will most likely be in full garb; protective clothing, hair net and covering hat, goggles (sometimes even a full on mask) and other assorted style abominations.

So don't worry about having to change or cut your hair, it will be a mess when you're finished work everyday regardless! And it won't affect your chances in the interview, unless you keep it over your eyes like that girl in The Ring :p

I spend most of my days in a lab. It's not a problem in the slightest. There are people with peircings an, mohawks long and short hair working in labs. It's not an issue so I wouldn't worry about it! Good luck with the job. Let me know if you need any advice.
