hi , I am just on here to ask if anyone could advise me on the following

for years now there has been a some trouble going on between two family's in my area and in the summer I was in the wrong place at the wrong time and witnessed one of the family members supposedly harass a member of the opposing family , its alleged that family member 1 , was shouting across the road at family member two ,(sorry its all very confusing ) I was standing talking to family member two at the time and I didn't hear any shouting directed at family member two , but of course she reported this to the police and I was asked for a statement , I gave one telling the guard exactly what had happened and he said that was fine that he didn't think it would go further , but it has and I got a summons to attend court as a witness ..
I really really do not want to get involved any further in this and did mention to the guard that I wouldn't not be willing to attend court on this matter as I am afraid of the repercussions , my question is can I withdraw my statement ?
thank you so much all advice really appreciated

You have been served a summons. You must attend court.
