Anyone combine natural gas with multi fuel stove?

We are thinking of installing a Multi fuel stove to heat 17 rads. It's an old house that has natural gas. We need a new boiler and immersion tank anyway. Is it expensive to do this and more to the point is it worth the installation cost (haven't got quotes on this yet) . House is approx 200 m2 including converted attic. Any advice/views appreciated.
(If its not feasible we r just going to go with a standalone stove)

Your best option would be to get a Thermal store to replace your immersion tank. you can get them with two or three coils to handle Solid Fuel. Oil / Gas and Solar.
you may not have or want Solar but for the little extra cost I would get a 3 coil Thermal store to cover any future requirements.

I would also suggest upgrading the controls in your house to improve efficiency.

It would want to be a big stove to heat 17 rads in full.
Start by listing all your rad sizes doubles and singles and bring it to the stove shop and see is their is a stove cable of heating all your rads.
If not you might have to find a balance of stove size to heat a rad zone in your house along with hot water.

After that combining solid fuel and gas is very possible.
