BX2 and AV-Receiver

    Hey,

I'm looking to get a pair of Monitor Audio BX2 speakers for use with my Games Consoles but can't decide on the AV Receiver to go with them. I was looking at the Yamaha-RXV473 and Onkyo-TXNR515.

The Onkyo seems to have better features and I've heard is a bit better for music but I've been researching online and it's being suggested that there are serious HDMI problems with it and the other x1x models. Have you experienced any of this in the shop? I don't think I can afford the price jump to the comparatively speced Yamaha 673.

Could you quote a price on both pairs with cable and shipment to Dublin (I could probably make it up if that is a problem). Any suggested alternatives would also be welcome.

    Ciarán

    Hey,

Tried ringing today but you guys were understandably busy will try again later but I figured I'd post here as well just in case.

I saw on the UK sale site there's a few AV receivers on sale it doesn't look like you stock the Sony DN1030 so I was hoping to get my hands on the Denon AVR2113 at £250 with a pair of Monitor Audio BX2s. Only problem is I'd need a lift up from Dublin and cant head up without knowing I'll be able to get them. Is it possible to reserve them or will the prices be gone after today?

    Hey,

Rang in there during the week and ye had sold out of the Denon 2113s on stephens day. I'm assuming if you get more in they wont be at the sale price so I might just go with the 1713 instead. Any chance of a quote on that and the BX2s with cable to Dublin. Might be up to Belfast in a few days anyway if shipping cant work for whatever reason.

    Happy New Year

    Opus,

apologies for the delay getting back to you...

We actually now have the 2113's back in stock (but they are really low) and we expect another hit on or around the 8th (hopefully)

The AVR2113 with the Monitor Audio BX2 are currently £469.95 for the pair.

We are also expecting a small shipment of the AVR1713 and that with the BX2 would be £439.95..

Whatever you do, give us a shout or drop us a PM before you travel as the Denon's are all flying at the moment and we will ensure one is popped into reserved for you..

    Thanks again,
