Anyone receiving Freeview in East Galway (Kilconnel/Ballinasloe/Mountbellow) or the Roscommon/Galway border up to and including Roscommon Town since ASAO and the power increase? These areas previously received analogue from Brougher Mountain.

Can pick up BBCs, ITVs, CH4, E4, FILM4, CH5, 5*, etc no problem at my parents just outside Roscommon town. Can get Dave, etc also but breaks up fairly frequently.

Just about 2 miles outside Roscommon town on the Athlone road.

The aerial has been in place for 20 years or so I'd say, on top of an old telephone pole in the back yard. No idea what it is but it must be about 2 metres long.

Receiver in use at the moment is a 4ife SV-400 combo although for my parents the only satellite channel they want is EWTN. As I can pick up all the bbc's, etc. from aerial it gets the full 7 day guide which is handy.

The TV in question is a Panasonic Freeview from about 4/5 years ago and this also tunes in the bbc's no problem although it doesn't get the Saorviews which is why we need the combo box.

Be interesting to know if any one in east/north east Galway are receiving Freeview from Brougher Mountain (Enniskillen)? I presume you are getting Freeview from there, signals from Divis would hardly make it to where you are? It sounds like your reception is more solid than it ever was on analogue (no fading or grainy pictures). Maybe a new aerial, and shielded cabling plus a new masthead amp would bring in the MUX you have breakup on?
