Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Thomann/DHL Delivery to Ireland

    Hi im just wondering... Bought an amp off thomann on the 12/12/12 and my tracking says its currently, as of 3am Saturday night, in Koln in Germany. The progress of the package is 60% complete and im just wondering will i get it in time for Christmas seen as its my Christmas present? How long has it taken for anyone? Anyone have any experiences with DHL? Thanks!

    You should have it by the weekend allowing for seasonal post
    Usually if I order over the weekend I can expect a knock on the door Thursday morning
    You can track it through an post tracking as they take over once it lands in the country

    Ordered Cubase 7 from them last Monday (the 10th). Tracking shows it in the country so I should have it tomorrow :)

    Usually takes about seven calendar days from the ship date.

    Keep checking track.anpost.ie with the DHL tracking code. Once it starts tracking in Portlaoise, you'll usually receive it the next day.

    I ordered stuff last thursday, but ship date was the 15th, should get it before xmas???

    I also have something coming in but with USPS. Apparently it's in Customs over in Portlaoise. Hopefully it will be with me by the end of the week.

    Thanks guys! Still no update from the 15th either still in Koln or about to land in Ireland cos an post haven't got anything yet anyways! Hopefully il have an idea by the end of the day or the parcel by the end of the week! Does anybody know when an post stop delivering before the Christmas?

    If it makes you feel better my tracking didn't update at all on the DHL site. I only knew my parcel was in Ireland when I tracked it on Anpost.ie.

    Afaik An Post will still be delivering parcels on Christmas Eve.

    I ordered a ukulele and a few other bits and pieces from Thomann on the 10th. Like you, the shipping tracking showed 60% progress in Cologne, with no update. Until it suddenly arrived yesterday. So if you ordered on the 12th, hopefully it will still arrive this week.

    Ok, my order was 4 packages in total, one of them just arrived, but to the billing address, rather than the shipping address i specified, havent a notion what the score is with the other 3.

    Im just glad someone was there.

    Also, my girlfriend is at her xmas do tonight so my evening is sorted:)


    Just to update, an post fraudulently claimed there was a failed delivery of one of the parcels this morning (despite one being successfully delivered an hour later) another is still in port laoise and one is rather mysteriously in the uk!
