    Hi all,

I'm not sure if I'm in the right place; I was just wondering does anyone know why female psychiatric nurses have to wear uniforms? Male psychiatric nurses can wear a shirt and pants but women have to wear full nursing uniform.. When psychiatric nurses are training both men and women have to wear them so what changes once they qualify?

    Thanks :)

Yeah but again, the male nurses don't have to wear them... So if a female nurse arrived in in a blouse and pants that would be ok?

    In my experience, yes.
