I see that this is being listed as part of the Christmas in Killarney programme.

Well done to them but anyone here got any firther details on it. I believe there is a 70kms (naughty) and a 30kms (nice) spin ...but I dont see what routes they are taking.

Wonder will there be any mince pies???

Will be nice to have something to look forward to while stuffing my face on the 25th!!!

PS....are we still using "St. Stephens Day" or is Boxing Day sneaking in...

I saw a cycle advertised for the 30th from Fossa - two routes 70k and a short one.
Is this the same event I wonder?

I think the one on the 30th is a Killarney CC leisure spin - hope to make it along with some of the Gang.

I was interested in doing this but can't find info on it. Where do you register for it?

This one I believe is is new to town and a possibily a first for a cycling event on St. Stephens Day. I believe it is traditional to head up Carrantuaill Mountain on the 26th ....not something I have tried!!

However - this spin is for funds for the local school...so would expect a considerable amount of local cyclists have passsed throught there over the years and so would be throwing their support into the event.

And ..sure.. it's a chance to get out of the house and stretch the legs!

Not sure if i can make the one on the 26th but would defintely make the one on the 30th. Im not a professional cyclist or anything but do enjoy cycling at weekends. I wouldnt feel out of place by turning up would I? Would there be a mix of all abilities?

Ya... I would say that all will be welcome. The Club looks after all participants and no-one will be left behind!! There will be cyclists of every age group and ability there....so I wouldn't worry about that . Just enjoy the ride!!

Good to hear. I will certainly turn up for this. What i was worried about was that I would have to be a member of the cycling club and be turned away. I didnt know either if I would be good enough to partipate and keep up as i wasnt sure what ability of riders be there.

I will turn up now, pay the fee and off I go. I am on my own so hopefully i might meet some of you guys there.
