    I'm guessing they wouldn't be able to handle their own weight if driven on earth ?

    Interesting question. I really don't know the answer.

    But.....they really put the LRV through the ringer on the surface of the moon, big bumps, two heavy astronauts with all their gear and samples on-board. I'd imagine they would be just fine if driven sadately.
