Snapped handlebars

    Just cycling earlier & my handlebars snapped out of nowhere & I'm blessed I didn't do serious injury. It's only a Raleigh Max but would anyone know how I would go about fixing this? Is it expensive? Thanks!

    Raleigh Max is a mountain bike, yes? If so, these should fit;

    Buy them, pull of the grips, remove the brake levers and shifters from your own handlebars. Loosen stem bolt to remove old handlebars. Slide new handlebars into stem and tighten. Replace grips, shifters and brake levers, job done.

    A model of clear and direct conciseness sir. Only bullet points could improve on this!

    My bad, it's actually the stem that has broke. Are these able to be fixed by yourself? Just wondering would this do for a Raleigh Max?

    Can you take a picture of the snapped stem?

    Yeah, take a picture of exactly what's broken. I would have thought a raleigh max would use a quill stem but even if it is an aheadset stem like the one you linked to it's more likely to be a 25.4mm clamp diameter than the 31.8mm one you linked to.
