Hi, Im just looking for some legal advice. My 11 year old son had his finger badly broken in school by another student. The other boy wanted the ball off my son and when my son didnt give him the ball he bent my sons finger back and broke it.
My son had to have surgery on his finger with wires to put the finger back in place. We have to return to the hospital in 5-6 weeks for more surgery to remove the wires. I informed the school of my sons condition.
Myself and my husband went to the school to tell the principal that we were not happy about the situation . That this was not an accident but an incident that happen and what was he going to do.
He said he would inform the parents that it wasnt an accident and the incident would be on the childs school record.
Is the school responsible for this incident??? What do we do next. Do we have a case for a personel injury claim if so could anyone recommend a solicitor. Many thanks for any advice. :)

    Read the charter.

Boys will be boys - sue the parents of the kid not the school - not legal advice just my opinion on what is right in the world. Speak to a solicitor.
