Started out the night i collected on of the lads who was lamping while i was using my 243 abolt , the other lad a.223 cz 527 varmint .
    field one
Had 3 foxes the first being unsafe and the secound moving into the beet . The lad with the .223 took the 3rd at 150 with unknown entry point .
    Field 2
Had two foxes one was unsafe the other moved off i fired but missed .
    field 3
One fox i shot him through the side 230 + yards
    field 4
calling yielded one but no shot was taken by our .223 man
    field 5
A fox ran right into the call but began to run after coming in to nearly 20 yards
the other lad fired and missed .
    field 6
I made a 250 yard head shot from prone .
    field 7
I shot one resting on a wall anouther head shot
    field 8
the fella with the 223 missed a fox at 40 yards
over all a good night with four in the bag prbably should have done better though

To be fair hes a cracking shot better than me he just takes a bit of time to line up a shot and the shots he missed were rushed .

Some guys forget that most people zero their rifles for 200 yards. At 100 yards you usually have to aim an inch low to hit. Its an easy thing to forget if your used to shooting 200 yards or more

Good going John 93, I know by your post your honest and no bull****. I missed a fox like that before at close range as I forgot to aim lower and i'm not ashamed to say it and I don't miss to often :)
