Hi, I recently signed on to jsa, I went for an interview on Wednesday, it seemed great, they offered me a job and asked could I start on Thursday. I went to the job on Thursday and Friday, and it was horrible, the days will be less than discussed and the hours totally different and unsuitable for me. I had been asked for my pps on Thursday morning, which I had happily handed over, thinking it was great to be working.

I won't be going back to this job. what do I say to the welfare office about the two days I worked now? I obviously hadn't had a chance to tell them about the job yet, but if my pps is used to put through payment for two days, will they know? Thanks

Go in and meet with a welfare officer, tell them you got 2 days work and will need to be signed off for them alone. If they ask you are you going back tell them honestly that you were hoping/expecting to get full time work but days and hours were going to be less and different than agreed on and so wasn't suitable.
