No reception after update

I have a rooted s3. Just flashed the jelly bean update to the phone today but am unable to send messages or calls since then. Anyone know what the problem might be?

Maybe, what did you use to root it? Did you alter the PDA? It sounds like you have loaded the wrong Phone or CSC file. If you made a back-up first then its easy to fix, if not you just got yourself a very expensive paper weight!

Is XXDLID Modem not a UK model? Does this work in Ireland?

Just enter APN details manually. It seems the rom you downloaded was missing irish settings.

You can also manually flash an irish CSC file (carrier settings).

There is no problem using UK roms, they just may not have the settings needed out of the box.
