i dont think its milk because there not really at the cows much, and it seems to be geting worse by the day, more of a clear type of scour, most of them pulled out of it,but this bull calf will be two weeks on sun its mother wouldnt be the quitest and didnt really take to him, same way last year..bimostas dosent seem to be improving him much..calved them outside last year not a bother, just a bit of milk scour, gone in a day or two..all calved indoors this year nothin but trouble..im bedding them fresh every second day..

Would it be halocur? It is used to cure scour caused by Cryptosporidium.

Jesus lads do you know nothing about drug resistance.
If you keep using one shot of Marbocyl, or any drug, eventually they will no longer work on your farm and you will be rightly fecked.
(as Lost Covey not around thought would post for them!)

OP- speak to your vet. Faecal samples from non treated calves. History- age started etc. If the mother didn't take to him he may have not received enough colostrum. Check out www.animalhealthireland.ie I believe they have a bit about calf health and management

Hi all this my first post have been reading some posts in last few days. I would strongly recommend a fecal sample taken to vet he/she will have a resut in minutes. A fortune can be spent on a guessing game with calves. If calf did not get enough colostrum it is all for nought
