Indian villagers saved a Tiger trapped in barbed wire. Since a nearby village had caused a Tiger in a similar situation to be killed two days previously it's nice that these villagers had more sense.

I saw another story this week about 3 hungry juvenile Siberian tigers who wandered into a village in the Russian Far east and tried to eat one of the village dogs. Thankfully the locals instead of freaking out, called a WWF worker and they were takin into care as it appeared their mother had died and they were still not fully independent. Unfortunatly I can't remember or find the site it was on, but there was some lovely images/footage of the 3 in the snow. Hopefully they will make it back into the wild at some stage.

It's refreshing to hear stories like this for a change. It seems there's very rarely any good news in tiger conservation...
