I certainly enjoy the 15yo so I'll be giving this a whirl. A lot of people will argue that it's not worth the price but I think it's a tasty whiskey very well presented.

The 18yo is a wonderful Kilbeggan blend. Would not feature in my top 10 but a very good whiskey all the same. To put it into perspective I was not a fan of the 15yo. I would describe this as a Cooley's version of IDLs Midleton VR but don't get me wrong I am not comparing these in taste just that they are both refined luxury whiskeys from both Companies.

As previously mentioned price is very subjective but as Cooley special editions go this is one of the better value ones believe it or not. I will possibly open one for Christmas but whether I could advise some buy one I think not as there are better whiskies out there for less. It Really is all down to the buyer but it does look the part and will make an impression and should not disappoint if offered to guests. Very drinkable ;-)

Thanks both :-) . Two slightly different perspectives. What got me was the presentation bottle which I thought was great and you seem to both agree on that which I guess is important in a present. But maybe not the best value compared to others. I'll have a think so.
