Aggregator sites are quite popular these days.

    I presume that's what they're going for.

They write the odd review etc. here and there and Simon Pegg called one of their reporters a c*nt once.

I like Joe.ie. I don't mind if they get stories or funny videos from other websites because I probably would not find them if they hadn't. They also have a bit of news and sport on the site which is alright for light reading. As someone already said they do whatever they can do to get people on their site to up ad revenue. I dont think they are trying to be the Irish times.ie or anything like that.

It's just a fun site. Irreverent, topical, rarely too serious. They do a brilliant rugby podcast on Heineken Cup weeks as well.

Some of it, yeah. Hit and miss, not to everyone's tastes, etc.
I just think it's grand to disengage my brain a bit for a few minutes a day and see what silly stuff they're sharing. Call it a guilty pleasure, I suppose!

I think it's rubbish. They've spoiled tonight's episode of Love Hate for anyone who hasn't seen it too with their facebook posts immediately after the episode.

That to me sums up how rubbish a site it is.

In fairness if you didn't want to know what happend in Love Hate FB is the last site you'd go onto.

    Poor Darren. :(

Spoliers are for before an event happens, not after it

Stay off the internet if you're trying to dodge news

Were you going to ban your workmates from talking today?

But then I got corrected a mod over in Film forum for discussing the ending of Se7en. It came out 17 years ago!!

Seriously??? That's a bit over the top in fairness, 17 years is time enough for everyone to watch that flick ('What's in the box, what's in the box...').

Regarding Joe.ie and the season finale of Love Hate, I just think that they are trying too hard to be 'out there', could they not have at least waited for the plot to be revealed by other before trying to be the 'cool kids' on the block. Most of their posts are either dated, seen before or not that interesting. Almost like they are trying too hard. Hopefully the site will get better, there is definitely a need for something like it for us Irish males.

And no, I do not put any form of censorship on my employees!

Heh. That was hilarious. She purposefully takes a quote by him out of context and gets all defensive when it annoys him. Not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
