Powered USB Hub Recommendations?

Hey all, I'm using the new MBP which only has the two USB ports, but I need to have three or four USB devices plugged in for a lot of my work. Any recommendations for a USB hub?
Seemingly it only really makes sense to use a powered one, and some initial reading suggested Logitech as a great buy, but their hub seems to be US only, and won't ship to Ireland..

Apple sell some third party hubs themselves. This is a nice one that i've seen a few times and seems popular. It's bus powered but the more expensive 7-port hub has a separate power supply. Both are pricey but might be worth checking out.

Not cheap but they've been reliable whereas cheaper ones caused odd problems and ended up in the trash - so not so cheap!

Ah, well, you didn't state that you needed a USB hub. If that's really what you need then go for it. But, if you don't have any USB 3 devices, read about the drawbacks.

I guess I thought it might be implied by the new MBP, but you're right, my bad!

Which drawbacks? Using USB 2 (etc.) devices with USB 3 ports/hubs?

I bought this, huge problem with it. It has no charging ports even when connected to power so I cant charge my devices with it. I'm still looking though, came across this today

Yeah I bought this one (4 port); plugged my iPad into it the other day and it wouldn't charge. I don't really mind, because I don't need it for that, and I got it for other purposes anyway, but yeah, it'd be nice if it could!
