The Paul Stewart handicap chase Is on in Cheltenham on Saturday...and without going into the detail..it looks a tough one to call. Walkon ran a cracker behind alferof in the last race but its difficult to trust he'll reproduce...he looks like he's off a very favourable weight but just don't know if he can be trusted..
Anyone have an angle on this race yet..
Wishful thinking has ran 2 decent races but conceding over a stone to most I think he will place

If Walkon reproduces his Paddy Power run he'll take all the beating.

As said above, his form is very in and out and you'd have to think that King would had him ready 110% for the PP too, so he may not run to that form again.

I backed Astracad lto out, he's only 7/1 for this, seems very short so may leave him alone.

Henderson won it last year with Quantitativeeasing (possibly run in this again? ) so his Nadiya De La Vega must have a chance after his good run in the PP too (not too far beehind Walkon).

If i had to pick one now i'd go with Pipe's Notus De La Tour. He's having his first run of the season here so he may have been laid out for this. Bits and bobs of decent form last year, still only 6 and plenty of improvement to come. Currently 8/1 so that'll do me.

it's a chance i'm willing to take and i'd be very confident if he does
i took 9/2 and i think with 4 places up for grabs it's a safe ew bet
    bar a fall

NOTUS DE LA TOUR 8/1 runs well fresh, wont mind the ground and the distance should be spot on,

DE BOITRON 25/1 might be interesting if getting the distance.

De Boitron only runs here if Doncaster is off.

I'm guessing Notus De La Tour is Pricewise tomorrow

Unioniste is a ridiculous price, Couldn't back a 4 year old in a race like this at 10/1 nevermind 4/1!

Have spent some time going through the race and have narrowed it down to Quantitiveeasing, Walkon and Notus de la tour. Nothing fancy but they are the ones who really stand out.

Walkon has failed to go on from some very good reappearances in the past so that puts me off him a bit. Quantitavveeasingwejferkfbkf (!!) jumping wasn't great at all on his reappearance but he'll stay all day and go in the ground, Also the way he powered up the hill to win this last year is still fresh in my head.

So a win bet on Notus de la tour and a small e/w saver on Quantitiveeasing.

The StanJames.com International Hurdle should be a good race. Barry seems keen enough on Grandouet.

Personally I think Zarkandar is a much better prospect this year than Rock on Ruby, particularly in this race given the fact that there's a 4lbs weight difference.

The Paul Stewart Gold Cup is a wide open affair IMO. I think I might have a bit of an each way bet on Nadiya De La Vega but it'll only be for an interest in the race.

Shooters Wood looks like it might be worth a couple of quid, although Pipe's horse could be anything.

I'll also be backing Nodebateaboutit in Lingfield.

3.05 Chel Rock on Ruby at 5/2 would appeal to me, I don't rate Zarkandar to be much better than RoR or Granduet so the likely price is totally prohibitive :)

1.45 Lingfield Houblon Des Obeaux, 7/4 or more would be a great bet I feel, I think there are too many question marks over Court In Motion's jumping, also I think Houblon Des Obeaux is a more proven stayer.

Hills are a stand out price on Grandouet

They have a habit of getting Chemical's big guns right first time out

small each way bets on Quantitativeeasing and Renard because I think they will like the ground.

I took some 12/1 Notus De La Tour during the week. Will like the ground & is at least fairly handicapped on some of his novice chase form. The stable seems to target this race as well as the Paddy Power & he was punted in the old Mildmay Of Flete at the festival

I've also put a few quid on ROR at 3.7. The reigning champion hurdler, stays further so hopefully the ground won't be an issue (it looked very hard going out there yesterday) & Harry Fry seems adamant he'll be more than ready for it.

And as I posted this he's matched at 3.8!!

Planned to have a saver on Walkon. He's been best fresh the last 2 seasons but if his PP run hasn't left a mark then a 5lb rise is not unduly harsh. The 6/1 is long gone however.

Sir Frank 11.55 at doncaster looks abit over priced at 20-1 surely, Surely Shirley:D

I like Kings Grace in this one. Will be better off for a run earlier in the year. Expect it to be there or there abouts at the finish.

Yeah really like kings grace but odds just too big to resist the chance of sir frank with a long time for pipe to get him firing.

I did look at this one, but the ground seems to be wrong.
