Completely new to this, but looking to replace my open fire with a stove, either inset or standalone.

Where would people recommend to have a look in the Cork area?

Thanks for that - good start.

I had a look in Cork stoves in Togher and a place in Carrigaline, but looks like Ill be parting with a bit of cash

Ill have a look in MDs for starters, but would a dedicated stove place be better?

no in fact can be alot dearer. builders supplers give the best prices i find. they dont have to rely on selling few stoves a week to keep going so can do them abit cheaper.

    just my opinion.

youll find inset to be much dearer to fit. bit of work to them

heatmerchants turners cross do the blacksmith stoves get a plumber friend to get a trade price /quotation if you can although I know for a fact that the merchants have a tiny markup on stoves and they have little room for discounts
