after setting up the new .223 ive gone out a few nights with a couple of other guys who i met through boards, both sound lads and big into their shooting, just what i like to see. first night out i hadnt a great night and had a load of misses but had one headshot around 70-80yds which was a slight pickup for me as the scope i had on was making me very unsure if it was me or the rifle letting my shots down. after zeroing with the new scope today i decided to head out for a look to see if anything was about, surely enough, got to the permission and after the first field a set of eyes decided to make themselves known to me, although they didnt stay long enough. next field i tried 3 sets of eyes appeared at well over 250 yds, so on this windy night i thought i would try to call them in closer, as i was doing this i spotted another behind me at around 80yds, i took him out and then checked for the other 3 , only 1 stuck around so i nailed him too. paced the first one out to 83yds and the second out to 210yds, 2 headshots within 20 seconds of each other, 2 big big dog foxes down! so thankfully my zeroing session payed off! both were taken with American eagle 50gn hollow points through the remmy 700 in .223 flavour with the nikko stirling platinum nighteater i fitted today! the other pic was a few days ago when i still had the ****ty AGS scope on it.

all in all, a great night!
