Hi I have just graduated from a management information systems course with a 2:2 degree and i am wondering what my next step should be, whether to do a masters or is there any jobs that i could apply for now, i have no area in the course that i have a preference for. I just really don't know what to do, any opinions?

If I was you, I would do a masters and make sure I got a first so I could hide the 2:2 result. And having a masters will give you an edge, obviously.

Also, you don't know what you want to do, so there's no harm spending another year studying while you ponder what you want to do with your life.

2:2 isn't a good result. It suggests (perhaps incorrectly) the OP may not have an aptitude for the subject.

    Think of it like this:

An employer receives two graduate CVs. Neither person has any experience and neither person has amazing interview skills. Who is more likely to get the job: the person with a 2:2 or the person with a first?
