Do you stack filters?

This is a general survey rather than a (what should I do) question.
So you have your lens, you have a UV filter, you have a circular polarizer. Do you stack em? I know there's a chance of vignetting etc. Do you place the UV on top of the polarizer? (that way it's protecting both lens and Polarizer which in itself can be a pricey bit of kit) or visa versa?

not really, no. when using filters, i usually am taking landscape shots wide angle.. most i would have is UV filter and one other, like big stopper... but recently i've taken the UV filter off my 24-105 cos i was sick of the flare.

Nah, not unless it's really necessary for a particular effect. Every bit of glass in front of the lens is going to introduce a bit of softening/image degradation and, although I'd be hard pressed to explain the science of it, I reckon that two or three stacked filters (each glass in close proximity to the others) compounds that.

That's not stacking filters. This is stacking filters: http://www.lensrentals.com/blog/2011/06/good-times-with-bad-filters
