Hi, totally clueless about trainers sorry, I was just wondering, what kind is the simplest for just popping the bike in and out of without having to detach the rear tyre first or anything like that, does something like that exist?

I mean one thats as easy as lifting the bike into a rack and out again without needing tools and that?

    Thanks.

They are all pretty straight forward and none of them require the removal of the rear wheel, The trainers do, in my experience, eat through tires, by friction, I used always buy a specific trainer tire on an old wheel. Rollers are easy on tyres, but rquire more concentration than a regular trainer.

Ah right, I always assumed they'd be way better than being on the road, didn't know that. Might have to go for a cheap exercise bike in that case.

Are rollers very hard to use?

They are more boring than being on the road, but 40 minutes on them is like 1hr on the road as you have no coasting/freewheeling. Rollers can be tricky to get a hang of, best to put them between a door frame, so when you fall you have something to grab on to ;)

Rollers do improve your balance and your bike handling a lot though. If you are a bit squirrelly, you can get fork mounts for the rollers and take the front wheel off....
