Only used Alpharooms once before & had no problem. We got our dates mixed up before when in Switzerland and forgot a day so used them for that extra night and booking was secured with them hassle-free :)

    Never used olotel before though.

Thanks Kerry for replying. Will check them out. I was just looking up Trivago and one of the hotel booking sites linked are olotels.com.

I have booked with alpharooms many times and I find them to be excellent...had one mishap ever and it wasnt their fault..the hotel we had booked had electrical problems...we contacted them and they moved us immediately (to a lovely place near by)

I've used olotels recently and everything was fine. They have a few very bad reviews on some websites so I was a bit worried after I made the booking. Everything was straightforward though and the room worked out about 20% cheaper than the next best rate.

Same, Alpharooms are excellent, always book with them, consistently best on price.

I also booked a hotel recently via Olotels and immediately after noticed several negative reviews/warnings online. So I was a bit concerned at first. However I emailed the hotel directly after a few days to verify that everything was OK with the reservation. They prompted replied that my reservation was confirmed and paid. And when I arrived on my trip the hotel was exactly as expected.

I do wonder how these sites often offer a much lower rate than booking.com and the hotel's website. Are they cutting their commission? Granted if there is a problem I assume they have minimal staff to deal with it promptly unlike the big online travel sites who are available 24/7.
