Finally got my first pheasant of the season which is only my second ever we seen him running into the ditch about 100 yards down th
e field so we followed him and my brother's young pointer bitch was setting and then moving a bit when he broke out my brother's side of the ditch he got two shots off at him but he was using my father's gun which is too small for him and he missed so we followed him and put him exactly where my brother said he would be and I dropped him with a single shot at about 30 yards I also missed a woodcock and my brother missed another cock
