Edge 800 HRM strap not working

    Anyone have problems with their HRM straps (the soft stretchy one). My readouts were going very low recently (about 1/2 what they usually were and despite changing the batter today it now gives no readout. Have contacted Garmin just now about it.

    I've gone through a couple of those over the last year or two - exact same symptoms as you've described. Called Garmin and they sent me another one, no questions asked, as it was still under warranty. Still not impressed with the longevity of the strap or the cost of replacing once I'm out of warranty though..

    i've had this happen with my 705 and have found that rescanning for the HR monitor has sorted it out (once battery was changed)

    Going to replace strap with a cheap Polar version as per article here

    Is it possible to renew the warranty on the Edge 800 device?
