Streaming Sky Go and other live sports to my tv...

Hi guys, a little help please,

My PS3 doesn't stream Sky Go and it's quite annoying having to run a cable from my Pc to my tv so is there a nice, solid internet streaming device I can hook up neatly to my tv to watch live sport online.

No need for netflix or youtube or any of that just the best thing that will allow me to stream live sport, if you know of a device that doesn't stream Sky Go but does stream live sport from any site than that might do.

Cheap, cheerful, quality and HD or should I just dream on?

    Any suggestions appreciated.

Sky Go app on iOS does not permit output to a TV.
Unless you jailbreak that is, and last I heard the app will not run on a jailbroken device.

Same goes for Android as far as I am aware.

Only options are a Windows HTPC or regular PC output to TV.
Re your HD question, I think the sky go stream is limited to SD.

I've hooked up my laptop to my TV with a hdmi cable and the quality of the streams on sky go is terrible :( Like something from an atari 2600

Have a look at PS3 Media Server and Sopcast. Simple and good quality. Watched the Liverpool game tonight and it was crystal clear.

How would one go about doing this?
I have the PS3 media server downloaded but I can't figure out how to get sopcast etc working through the PS3.
Would this also work for SkyGo?

I dont think it will work for sky go.

As far as I know sky go require silver light and Microsoft technology that cannot be installed on a ps3
