Hogue Remington S/A Stock

I have a Remington S/A stock that I was planning on respraying for the .308 build but have decided against it.

It has a sporter barrel channel.

I never got around to finishing it so it might make a project for some body.

If it doesn't sell I will finish it after xmas.

Will it fit Remmy 700 223 vsf bull barrell ?

The barrel channel on the stock is 1.232" just in front of the recoil lug & .846" at the end on the stock (11" from recoil lug)

From the remington website the VSF is 0.820" at the muzzle.

I'm not sure how the barrel tapers down from chamber to muzzle. From the measurements above you could measure the barrel at the same points I measured the barrel channel and you will know if it will work or not.

I checked An Post there and it said it would cost €6.50 for standard post.
